Gazing Into the Sky Night*

Snow flows down from limbs of shattered pine
I sweep back wings of green foam up ahead
They graze these thoughts; each branch a brush's tine

Silver slants about, and crevices define
The Frisbee moon flung high above my head
Snow flows down from limbs of shattered pine

Slants silver above, and crevices define
The sky that says I shouldn't stay in bed
It seeps through the brain and consciousness like wine

Fleeting snowdrops, rainflakes' daft design
Confetti swarms and night sky overhead
Walking into silence that can shine

Measured breathing chills the air divine
Something, somehow, somewhere should be said
But in soft dreams, not sleep are thoughts confined

Fleeting snowdrops, rainflakes' daft design
I, from glowing embers fled; made all the
Snow flow down from leaves of shattered pine
The night sky follows, and it is all mine.
