The Lupus Moon

The fulgent moon
Silently pads across the sky
Like a lone wolf in a snowy forest
The heart beat of the night pulses through me
Capturing the soul in a peaceful trance
The moon leaves footprints in the starlit heavens
As it makes its determined journey across the sea of black
Golden fingers reach from the horizon
Waiting for the sun to judge when the day should begin
In the court of a summer's morn
