The Plaza After Rain

Come to the Plaza
Where the stone streets shine, reflecting the rest of the grey world
The city trees have almost lost all their leaves
Like a cotton curtain hiding the sun's beautiful rays
The fog hangs delicately in the distance
Come to the Plaza
Where the lonely park bench collects pools of tears
The street lights are left dim and dripping
Like a grey tissue to soak up your sorrows
Come to the Plaza
